Steffen Lanzinner is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Allianz Global Investors and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He leads the “Data, Technology and Operations” division, overseeing the firm’s global data and technology platforms as well as its investment and fund operations across middle and back office functions.

Before assuming his current role in 2025, Steffen served as Head of the Data & Technology function, where he was responsible for IT Delivery, IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Data Management. Prior to that, he led Allianz Global Investors’ CEO Office, where he was accountable for corporate strategy and business management. Earlier in his career he held various roles within the Distribution function, contributing to strategic initiatives and sales management.

He joined Allianz Global Investors in 2008, following his experience as founder and managing director of two technology start-ups.

Steffen holds a Master of Science in Finance and Information Management from the Technical University of Munich.
