Dr. Thomas Schindler is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Allianz Global Investors, overseeing Finance, Risk Management, Legal as well as Compliance globally.

Having worked in the asset management industry for more than two decades, he covered a wide range of functions as Head of CEO and CFO Office, Global General Counsel, Chief Risk Officer, and currently Chief Financial Officer.

Thomas is a member of the Executive Committee of Allianz Global Investors and has been serving on various internal and external boards, such as EFAMA, BVI, ICI, as well as the boards of non-profit organizations.

Thomas is a fully qualified German lawyer, holds a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford as well as a PhD from the University of Regensburg. Prior to joining Allianz Global Investors, he worked as an M&A attorney at Freshfields. Outside work he enjoys sports, spending time with his family, cooking and traveling.
