Björn Jesch is Chief Product Officer at Allianz Global Investors, and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

He leads the Product Solutions & Marketing function at AllianzGI, with executive responsibility for ensuring the firm’s product offering and market positioning best reflect client needs.

Björn has over three decades of diverse industry experience. Prior to AllianzGI, he held senior leadership roles in portfolio management, product management and solutions. He also has a deep understanding of Forex markets, having held a number of FX Trader roles during his career.

Previously, Björn worked for DWS Group, where he was Global CIO and CEO of DWS Switzerland. Prior to that he was Global Head of Multi Asset & Solutions and Chief Investment Officer EMEA at DWS Group.

Before DWS, Björn was Global Head of Investment Solutions & Products Investment Management at Credit Suisse and Chief Investment Officer & Head of Portfolio Management at Union Investment.

Earlier in his career, Björn spent time with Deutsche Bank, first as Deputy and then as Head of Global Investment Solutions Germany, as well as being Chief Investment Officer and Head of Portfolio Management.

Björn has completed management and leadership qualifications at the Harvard Business School, earning a General Manager degree. He also holds a Commercial Diploma in Banking and has undertaken further study at the INSEAD business school.
